Team Education

Supporting the adults, who support children.

If you’re an allied health professional, educator, or team leader working with children, you already know this: Communication changes everything.

But supporting communication in real time can feel complex. Especially when regulation, behaviour, trauma or neurodiversity are part of the picture.

That’s Where I Come In

I’m Holly

With more than 15 years of experience working alongside children, families and multidisciplinary teams across Australia and internationally, I’ve seen how powerful it is when the adults feel confident and supported too.

Because when the people who surround a child feel supported, it can help children thrive. And support and education doesn’t stop at parents and carers.

It includes educators.
Allied health practitioners.
Support workers.
School teams.
Healthcare providers.

Team Education at Playful Paediatrics is designed to strengthen the entire circle of support around a child; building confidence, deepening understanding and empowering teams with practical tools that foster connected communication.

If you’re a team leader or practice owner, this one’s for you.

If you’re a team leader or practice owner, this one’s for you.

You want your team to feel confident. Not just qualified. Confident.

Confident supporting communication in real time with paediatric clients.
Confident working with all communication styles, including children with complex communication or those who use multimodal communication options including AAC.
Confident navigating regulation and behaviour in sessions.
Confident working alongside neurodivergent children in ways that feel respectful and effective.

I run team education for allied health practices and child-focused organisations who want their clinicians to feel steady, capable and aligned in connection-first care.

We also support Kindy Uplift funding for eligible Queensland kindergartens, making it easier to access team education where it’s needed most.

Book Holly to present to you and your team.

Why this matters to your team. And your practice.

Why this matters to your team. And your practice.

Because this is what your clinicians are already navigating:

A child shuts down mid-session and refuses to engage with you or your team.

A child uses a speech-generating device or AAC, and your team aren’t sure where to start or how to navigate communication.

You hear their parent say, “They can do it at home, I don’t know why they won’t do it here.”

A child avoids eye contact and struggles to sit still, and a clinician wonders whether to redirect, persist, or pivot.

And a session that was carefully planned could unravel in the first five minutes.

The Playful Difference

But when your team understands regulation, connection and communication as intertwined, those moments shift.

And that shift changes outcomes for:

No need to come to us, I’ll come to your space to present.

No need to come to us, I’ll come to your space to present.

By the end, your team will learn how to:

Connect with the child before correcting the behaviour.

Support communication in the moment, not just in theory.

Feel confident using and responding to all communication, including Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).

Understand how regulation impacts participation in therapy.

See behaviour as communication and confidently respond in ways that support regulation and reengagement.

Translate evidence into practical, everyday strategies.
