Sometimes they’re neurological. Sometimes they’re complex.
And they are absolutely something we can support together.
Hi, I’m Holly.
I’m a speech pathologist. A mum. And someone who believes children deserve better than worksheets and fluorescent waiting rooms.
If you’re here, you might be wondering…
Is my child behind?
Is this just a phase?
Have I missed something?
Am I doing enough?
And my gentle reminder to you, from one parent to another, is that you’re supported here.
I started Playful Paediatrics because I kept asking myself one question:
“When did supporting children become so clinical?
When did therapy start feeling like something to “get through” instead of something that feels safe for our children?
That’s the philosophy Playful Paediatrics is built on. Welcome to our home.
After more than 15 years working across Australia and overseas, I’ve seen how powerful it is when therapists, educators, carers and families work together, as one collaborative team around your child.

This is Sophie, our client care hero.
Sophie’s warm, steady presence helps you feel supported from the very first hello. With her extensive experience in the healthcare industry and being a mum of three, Sophie truly understands the juggle of appointments and parenting life.
She helps you (and us) keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes so you feel supported every step of the way.
The Playful Way:
Connection before correction
Learning happens when children feel seen, safe and understood. We build trust first, because that’s where progress begins.
All communication is valid
Whether it’s spoken words, vocalisations, signs, gestures, visuals, a speech-generating device, body language or even silence.
Neuro-affirming and inclusive
We respect all neurotypes, play styles and ways of experiencing the world.
Family-centred, always
You know your child best. We work alongside you, offering practical guidance that fits into everyday life outside of your sessions.
Evidence-informed and thoughtful
Our therapy is grounded in current research and balanced with professional experience and real-world application.
Collaborative by nature
Children don’t develop in silos. We collaborate with educators, therapists and other professionals to keep support aligned.
